Allah says in the Quran:
وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا
And it is He Who has let free the two seas, one palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter, and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them....
(Surah Al-Furqan Ayah 53)

He has let loose the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together.
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress.
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
